What is new in State aid and what it means for State aid granting authorities.

The sessions on the first day have two purposes. First, they provide a thorough review of the latest Court rulings and Commission decisions. Second, they inform how the case law and Commission evolving practice impact the design of “good” State aid measures. They also offer guidance on how to avoid typical pitfalls.

Please note that the topics mentioned below are only examples. The Master Class focuses on the most recent judgments and decisions and the final presentations are being prepared by Prof. Nicolaides directly before the Master Class.

Problem-solving: How to improve your own State aid measure and ensure its compatibility with the internal market.

The whole second day is devoted to the presentation and discussion of questions andcases submitted by participants.

The lessons drawn from the review of the first day will be used by the training leader together with other participants to analyse the problematic aspects of submitted cases and identify possible solutions.

Participants will be asked to keep the proceedings of the day confidential.
